CORONAVIRUS UPDATE:

As the new coronavirus disease 2019 (“COVID-19”) continues to spread, many employees are wondering whether there is coverage under their medical plan.  Attached is a flyer that can be distributed to members that addresses their medical coverage as well as seeking care and testing.

The CDC is also recommending  people should call ahead to their doctor, Urgent Care or ER before making an in-person visit.  In addition, official recommendations from both the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization encourage the use of telemedicine.  Information on Telemedicine for Coastal HIF members is also included on the flyer.
